Why do companies in Europe and the US hire agencies in Argentina?
The usual reasons are senior talent, language skills and working hours that overlap with both regions. You can find experienced designers, developers and marketers there who work in English every day.
For a company selling into Latin America, there's a second reason: an Argentine team knows the Spanish speaking market from the inside. Copy, ads and websites written by native speakers read differently from translated ones, and buyers notice.
That said, location alone isn't a strategy. The right agency is the one that understands your business and measures the work in leads and sales, wherever it is.

How do the time zones work in practice?
Argentina uses UTC−3 and currently doesn't change clocks, which gives it a useful overlap with both sides of the Atlantic. Depending on daylight saving time in your country, Buenos Aires is one or two hours ahead of New York and four or five hours behind Central Europe.
- US East Coast: most of the working day overlaps, so live calls are easy.
- US West Coast: mornings in California are early afternoon in Buenos Aires.
- Central Europe: your afternoon is the Argentine morning, so there are several shared hours every day.
- UK and Portugal: one hour closer than the rest of Europe.
A good setup uses the overlap for calls and decisions and the rest of the day for production, so you often start your morning with finished work waiting for review.
What about data protection if my customers are in Europe?
Argentina is one of the countries the European Commission recognizes as providing adequate data protection. That makes transfers of personal data from the EU to Argentina simpler than to many other countries.
It doesn't remove your own obligations. Your website still needs a clear privacy policy, a cookie consent that actually blocks tracking until people accept, and contracts that say who processes which data and why. Ask any agency how they set up consent, analytics and forms before they touch your site.
Who should own the accounts, the website and the data?
You should. Every account is created in your company's name and the agency gets access as a user, never the other way around.
Accounts that must stay in your name
- Domain and hosting.
- Website admin, with your own administrator user.
- Google Analytics, Search Console and Tag Manager.
- Google Ads and the Meta business portfolio, with the agency added as a partner or user.
- WhatsApp Business, CRM and email marketing tools.
- Original design files, photos and videos produced for you.
This matters more across borders. If the relationship ends, you shouldn't have to chase accounts in another country to keep running your marketing. Google Ads and Meta both let you add an agency without handing over ownership.
What should the contract and reporting look like?
The contract should spell out deliverables, timelines, what's out of scope, how ad spend is paid and how either side can end it. Reporting should show business results, not activity.
Weak setup
- Vague scope like social media management
- Ad spend paid through the agency with no visibility
- Monthly report of reach and followers
- Long lock-in with no clear exit
Strong setup
- Written deliverables with quantities and timelines
- You pay the ad platforms directly, the agency charges a separate fee
- Report on leads, sales and cost per lead
- A minimum term that matches the work, with a clear notice period
Ask how they want to be paid and in which currency, and make sure invoices and taxes are clear for your accountant before you start. A fixed written proposal avoids most surprises; here is how we put together a fixed proposal.
What should I ask before hiring?
Ask about people, proof, ownership and exit. Good agencies answer these in writing without hesitation.
- Who exactly will work on my account, and what is their experience?
- Can I see live websites and campaigns you've built, and talk to someone you worked with?
- Which accounts will be created, and in whose name?
- What do you measure, and how often do you report it?
- What do you need from my team each week?
- How do we communicate, and how quickly do you reply?
- What happens if the results aren't there after the first months?
Then look at case studies you can open and test. Work you can open and use on your own phone tells you more than any pitch deck.
Is Caput a fit for my company?
We're a marketing agency based in Argentina, working with companies in Argentina first and then Brazil, Europe and the US, in Spanish, Portuguese and English. We build websites and online stores, run SEO, Google and Meta campaigns, produce content and AI video, and set up WhatsApp and CRM automation.
Every project starts with a free written diagnostic of your marketing. If you then solve it yourself or with another team, the report is still yours.
What we see in our diagnostics
When we run diagnostics for companies abroad, the most common issue is a website built for one market being used for several: a single language, no hreflang, and forms or WhatsApp links that only make sense locally.
We also often find ad and analytics accounts created by a previous provider under their own email, which makes it hard for the company to see its own history.
